“ If you and I exchange a dollar, each of us would still have a dollar...
but if you and I exchange an idea, each of us would have two ideas.

~ Irving Berliner

There are a wealth of Masonic websites; those listed here are just a small sampling of the many available.

Freemasons for Dummies
Bro. Christopher Hodapp, of the US state of Indiana, is the author of the book Freemasons for Dummies, which explains the basic tenets of Freemasonry worldwide without exposing any of the Masonic signs, tokens, or words. While it has more about the United States than about Freemasonry in other locations, it is a goldmine of information. This link leads to Bro. Chris's blog, which is well worth reading.

Grand Lodges in the United Kingdom Go back to the top

Important notice: Please note that listing a Grand Lodge or another lodge on this page does not imply that your lodge is in Masonic communication with that lodge. If you are contemplating traveling abroad you are cautioned not to make any Masonic contacts with Masons of other jurisdictions without having ascertained by application to your Grand Secretary the existence of regular Masonry in the country concerned, and the address to which Masonic enquiries in that country should be directed.

United Grand Lodge of England
Our mother lodge. Many useful links to other Freemasonry sites, as well as information about what Freemasonry is and who can join.
Grand Lodge of Scotland
Grand Lodge of Ireland

The United Grand Lodge of England has a Masonic Grand Lodge finder here. You should read the caution printed on this page before communicating with any foreign Grand Lodges.

Zen Masonry
This fascinating site combines the forces of Zen Buddhism and Freemasonry to shed light on both. A real thought-provoker and a good way to get your daily increase of light in Freemasonry. Click on the images on the index page to enter the site.
King Solomon's Lodge
There are a wealth of Masonic blogs out there; this blog aggregator adds the newest Masonic blog entries each day and will send you a daily email with links to each new entry.
Order of Women's Freemasonry
While lodges of UGLE are limited to men alone, there is a burgeoning movement consisting of women's Masonic lodges. There was an exhibition in early 2008 at the Library and Museum at Freemason's Hall on Great Queen Street on Women's Freemasonry. The Order of Women's Freemasonry is one of the oldest female Masonic lodges and their website is well worth a look. They are not Co-Masons and do not admit men.
